Thornhall is a lovely detached Chalet. South facing so you can make the most of the sunshine with eastern garden doors out onto a decked area in a private, enclosed garden where your hired hot tub can be sited.

You'll find Thornhall Chalet holiday cottage in a secluded spot in rural Morayshire, not far from Findhorn Bay with its long sandy beaches for gentle paddling or fun filled sailing, canoeing & paddle boarding.

From here you can explore the Scottish Highlands venturing even across to the west coast and NC500. Inland just 40mins to the Cairngorms and a day exploring the fishing villages all along the beautiful Moray Firth Coast.

Activities

Play golf at more than 20 courses nearby, including Castle Stewart, famous for hosting the Scottish Open

Visit the river Findhorn and Spey,

Visit the famous castles; Brodie Castle just 2 mile away and Cawdor Castle 7 miles and the famous Culloden Battle field

Try the Speyside Whisky Trail where you visit distilleries and experience the history and the craft that makes Scotland's national drink famous the world over. And maybe bring back a sample or two to enjoy back at the cottage in the evening?

Culbin Forest

Immediately on your doorstep offers days of walking and cycling, visit the otter pond or trek to the beach where they filmed the Odyssey movie in 2025 with Hollywood stars such as Matt Damon, Zendaya and Tom Holland.

Maybe take a drive along the coast, east to their other filming site at Findlater castle near Portknockie. Nearby you'll find lots of wonderful coastal paths.
