Dolphins in the Moray Firth

The Moray Firth is home to part of a larger pod of Dolphins which lives in the seas around the north of Scotland.

There are many places along the coast where you can see dolphins close to the shore.

You can also take a boat trip out into the Moray Firth to get closer to these amazing animals. Of course, all the boat trip providers keep a respectful distance.

Sometimes the Moray Firth is visited by whales too. Most commonly Minke whales, but there have also been sightings of Sperm whales and even rare sighings of Orcas (Killer whales).
